Day 5: Alberta Birds of Prey

The Alberta Birds of Prey centre was an impressive place. What really inspired us was the fact that it was run strictly by Volunteers.
We had front row seats for the demonstration as we got to see a Bald Eagle up close and watch it fly. They also brought out a Golden Eagle that lost its sight from an accident. He was pretty docile and allowed the students to get up close for photos!
The goal of this place is to take orphaned or injured Eagles, Hawks and Owls and rehabilitate them so they can be returned to the wild.
